The Mediterranean AI Forum

While the countries of the Mediterranean basin hold many assets, developing socio-economic ties and fostering technological cooperation remain key challenges to revitalize the region.

In response, the Interministerial Delegation for the Mediterranean (DIMED), in partnership with La Plateforme_, is launching the first-ever Mediterranean AI Forum, dedicated to enhancing cooperation on artificial intelligence in the region.

Under the patronage of renowned mathematician Cédric Villani, this inaugural edition will bring together key AI stakeholders from across the Mediterranean—companies, startups, researchers, investors, academics, and development funds. Together, they will explore critical questions, such as :

What solutions can AI offer to the major challenges facing the Mediterranean?

How can AI help improve public policies and services in the region?

Forum Objectives :

Serve as a platform for meetings, dialogue, and the exchange of knowledge and best practices among AI stakeholders in the Mediterranean ;

Highlight key individuals, innovative pathways, and ecosystems of technological advancement ;

Foster cooperation among various actors (startups, companies, researchers, investors) around targeted themes and accelerate the deployment of concrete solutions ;
